No matter what the calendar says, it is officially winter in SE Michigan. the last 48 hours have been dreadful, which directly led to one of the poorest turnouts in Shrine election history. WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! When everything was said and done, we passed out 1630 wristbands, 36 1/2 barrels of camel's milk, over 1500 hamburgers, 1500 hot dogs, fries, corn, pop and water. It was so enjoyable having a free weekend. Carrie and I spent the majority of the weekend resting, catching up on some dvr tv shows and went out to dinner Saturday night. Last week turned out to be a let down for me, physically anyway. I came down with a very painful left ankle, which increased in pain throughout the week. I just spent the last 4 days in lovely, sunny, Port Huron at the Thomas Edison Inn. I would imagine at least 150 Nobles visited our hospitality room at one time or another (yes, the camel's milk never stopped flowing). Wow, time is going by sooooooo verrrrry fast.Last Friday evening, I went to work the Charity Poker for my Unit. I and 3 other members worked a 5:00 PM to 2:00 A.M. Shift.
